Frequently Asked Questions
Below are common considerations when looking to enroll your child in speech therapy. If you have questions beyond what is provided below, feel free to get in touch.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
I am currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Families will be required to pay applicable co-pays, deductible payments and co-insurance. Families will be responsible for costs up to the allowable amount if using a BCBS plan. Families will be responsible for costs up to the full billed amount if using another insurance plan.
Please check with your insurance provider to determine what speech therapy services they cover. Be aware of your deductible and if it has been met, as well as any co-pays or coinsurance you are responsible for. It is the family’s responsibility to check, understand and confirm insurance coverage and limitations.
Client is responsible for payment not covered by insurance.
What Speech Therapy services do you offer?
Currently BPST offers speech therapy sessions in 30-, 45- or 60-minute increments. Initial assessments are not available at this time. Sessions with your child focus on developing receptive and expressive language skills, improving articulation and phonological skills, teaching important literacy skills, and expanding use and gerneralization of AAC devices.
How do I get started?
Ready to schedule your child’s first speech therapy session? Use the BPST Contact Form. Please include in your form submission if your child is already receiving Speech Therapy in school or another setting. A follow-up email will be sent with questions specific to your child’s needs, and how to move forward with scheduling a session.
