Leslie Garthaus,

Leslie Garthaus profile

Leslie graduated from Illinois State University with her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2006. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association,  is a licensed SLP in the state of Illinois, and holds her Professor Educator License (PEL). She has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, Early Intervention, and non-public therapeutic day school. Leslie has devoted many years to working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder who use AAC. In addition, Leslie enjoys working with preschool and school age children who are experiencing expressive or receptive language delay, literacy delays, speech sound disorders including articulation, phonological disorder, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and fluency disorder. Leslie uses a balanced approach of client-led and clinician-directed therapy sessions. She uses a wide variety of evidence based therapy techniques in her sessions. Leslie looks forward to creating individualized goals, objectives, and therapy sessions to best meet the needs of her clients and their families. Find out more information by contacting Leslie.
